PSG Rooney no-go, but signings on the way

It looks like the media have some explaining to do. With many reports recently stating (quite boldly) that Rooney's prospective deal to PSG was basically in the bag, it now transpires that Rooney won't be going to Ligue 1. Shock.

However don't despair! The Independent has come to the rescue by naming Samir Nasri and Yohan Cabaye as targets for the French Champions League quarter-finalists according to director of football Leonardo who seems his main job seems to be naming players in the media in the hope of them returning the love.

It looks like it's going to be a very interesting French summer(not the first for many), as Leornado predicts the market will be “opening up” in both England and Spain. With the Ligue 1 champions-elect performing so admirably on the pitch it is easy to see their development continuing off the pitch.

However the Independent once again deem it necessary to waste our time by bringing us quotes by Leornado including names such as Rooney and Ronaldo. Yawn. Nothing to see here anymore.

But the possibility of a mini-French side including the likes of Frank Ribery, Karim Benzema, Nasri and Cabaye is an exciting prospect. Even if it will make Alan Pardew's Newcastle very very jealous.
