Chelsea fans ask: Who’s the Dede?

It’s not very often you hear reports from the newspapers suggesting that Chelsea have found a replacement for John Terry but that’s exactly what the Daily Express are reporting on their website.

Brazilian defender Dede, valued at an indefensible £20 million, has been the one singled out by Rafa Benitez (haha!) as a replacement for Terry whose future at Stamford Bridge remains unclear following a difficult season watching his side repeatedly choke it in cup semi-finals and finals, from the bench.

Dede currently plies his trade for Brazilian outfit Vasco Da Gama and his also reportedly on the wish lists of both Liverpool and Manchester United. Apparently Liverpool are about to crash in with a £15 million bid, but presumably when Roman Abramovich wants something he ultimately gets it and is ready to throw his money on the floor like a dirty towel in order to get his man.

I would have thought Chelsea fans would be excited at the news they have finally bagged their man from Brazil however would have been hoping for something a little more in the attacking frame of mind. Never mind Neymar : who’s the Dede?

At least now David Luiz will have some Brazilian company at the back, let’s hope the new incoming one is just as mental as the first one…
