Skipper Phil Neville to be scooped up by Premier League clubs

After revealing his intentions to leave Goodison Park this summer on a mutual basis, Phil Neville has become the target for many clubs including Stoke City, Aston Villa and (almost) relegated QPR, reports The Daily Mail.

Amazingly, Neville P. was signed up by David Moyes for a measly £3.5million back in August 2005 and it is fair to say Neville won't be owing the fans any of that price tag when the time comes at the end of the season.

The ex-Manchester United star has stated his desire to ply his trade 'at the highest level' therefore perhaps a drop down the English pyramid is out of the question for next season at least. What hasn't dropped down in recent years is the professionalism and consistency of a player that has been around for 19 years and who is still hungry for more.

Neville will be part of the coaching staff under Stuart Pearce in the upcoming U21 European championships and that is certainly one likely route for the midfielder to go down when he eventually hangs up his boots for good.

Another likely scenario could be a Neville v Neville showdown on the airwaves, as Phil has often appeared on the BBC while Gary holds down a regular Monday night spot on Sky Sports. Now who wouldn't pay extra to see a Neville Neville stand-off...
