Premier Legaue keeper could make switch to Barcelona

Swansea stopper, Michel Vorm is the latest to be linked with the soon to be vacated goalkeeping position at Barcelona. Current occupant Victor Valdes confirmed last week that he desired a move to pastures new, possibly England.

The Sun is reporting that Holland assistant boss, Frans Hoek, has reportedly advised his old club to ‘snap him up’.

Vorm follows Hugo Lloris, David De Gea and Pepe Reina in being named as a possible replacement for Valdes. Any such move could spark an elaborate game of goalkeeper swapsies between Primera and Premier League clubs. Iker Casillas like Valdes has been linked with a move away from his home country, his departure likely to be dependent on whether Jose Mourinho remains at Madrid,  as the Spain number one  appears to have fallen out of the ‘Special one’s’ good books.

Chelsea owned Thibaut Courtois has been earning rave reviews this season on loan at Atletico and whilst he may not be quite ready to replace Petr Cech, it’s been suggested that a year’s loan at another Premier League club could circumvent any potential ‘De Gea-like’ first season teething problems and ready him for his future role at Stamford Bridge.

Malaga keeper, Wilfredo Caballero (Willy) has done himself no harm either with stand out performances during his side’s Champions League run to the quarter finals. The ongoing financial issues at Malaga mean it would come as no great surprise if he were soon to be linked with a transfer to less balmy climes.
