Time running out for Manchester United midfielder

For Anderson, things were not meant to turn out like this, at 24 he was meant to be both the lynch pin of The Manchester United and Brazilian team. However he still finds himself struggling to find himself at Old Trafford after five years with the club. It seems that patience between both parties is now wearing more than thin with an exit being rumoured in the summer and The Sun are reporting that Anderson would be interested in a return to Porto.

Anderson's career at United has been stop start with consistent starts never quite coming, whether it be through lack of form, injury or the seemingly endless and peter pan like careers of Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs. When he made the move, he would have been forgiven for thinking that Giggs and Scholes would have long gone by now however their remarkable career's have without question hampered his development.

At 24, there is of course still time and with the world cup now just over a year ago Anderson will be more than keen to secure his place in the squad for what will be a historic occasion for the nations. A move to the club where he made his name as a promising youngster might just be what he needs to ensure that the engines finally start firing on this stalling career.
