Manchester United man wants to stay at Old Trafford

In Spain, you very much have to mark yourself as a Real or Barca man (unless you are Luis Figo of course) and The Sun are reporting that David De Gea is very much on the Real side of things - as he would not be interested in a move to Barcelona.

It is incredible how quickly things can change in football, with De Gea only six months or so ago struggling to find his feet at Manchester United and being muted for the exit door. However, some impressive performances in recent times have seen the Spaniards stocks rise considerably, so much so that he along with several others is now being linked as a replacement for Victor Valdes.

De Gea though has indicated that he has no plans to join the Camp Nou club, highlighting that Sir Alex has become very much a father figure to the young stopper and one of the key components in his difficult rise to established number one, seemingly outlining the talents of Ferguson. Nevertheless if it was Madrid making the moves for his services then it would prove a little more tricky to not flea his fathers nest and complete what for De Gea would be a dream move.
