    Monaco eye Tevez

You can just imagine the conversation between Carlos Tevez and his agent.

“A team in France are after you Carlos, and not just any team, they’re top of the league!

“Oh nice! My knowledge of Ligue 1 is a little sketchy, is that PSG? Am I being offered the chance to play with Zlatan? Or Marseille? Or even Lyon?”

    “Well, almost..”

Unfortunately for Tevez it is in fact Ligue 2 leaders Monaco, who are apparently interested in purchasing him according to The Express.

On the plus side they are owned by a group of Russian billionaires, so I’d imagine the wages aren’t too shabby. Monaco are also three points clear at the top of the French second division and expected to earn promotion back to Ligue 1 by next season.

Still, Tevez would go from being an average sized fish in an enormous lake full of Sergio Agueros and Yaya Toures to a gigantic, headline-making leviathan of the deep in the smaller pond of French football.

The Argentinian striker is about to enter the final year of his lucrative contract and apparently it would be in both parties interest for Tevez to move on at the end of this season. City can rake in around £15m and Tevez gets that move he’s (probably) always dreamed o,f rather than spending a year playing second fiddle to whichever superstar the Champions decide to bring in over the summer. Sorted.
