      Damiao not interested in Spurs

Leandro Damiao has long been linked with a move to Tottenham. Every transfer window since 2010 (not to mention the bits in between) seems to have seen the two linked with a deal. And this one is no different. Spurs have once again been reported to have chased the Brazilian forward in the January transfer window, and intend to come back for him (again) in the summer. Spurs' lack of out and out strikers – they currently have two – is most likely the reason for their furthered interest in the 23-year-old.

The Internacional forward is – uncharacteristically for a Brazilian – an old-fashioned number 9 player. Tall, strong, excellent in the air, good in and around the penalty spot. And considering that Spurs have a quick, diminutive striker in Jermaine Defoe, and a tall, powerful striker (albeit in a different mould to Damiao – Adebayor isn't nearly as good in the air and prefers to have the ball at his feet, despite being slightly taller), the Brazil international seems like he would slot into the side perfectly. Especially when you consider the respective ages of the two aforementioned strikers. But, all that said, this is a move that has failed to materialise on 3 separate occasions now. I would like to see the player come to the Premier League, but this could very well end up being a Sneijder-to-Man-United-esque affair, and nobody really wants that. On top of it all, the player has committed his long-term future to his current club (according to Sky Sports).

Sorry, Spurs fans. Not this year. It's not all doom and gloom though. Fourth year lucky, right?

This article is a piece of shit with no substance.

If this is true then it is a loser's choice as the Italian league is barely even with the German league let alone better than the Spanish or English.
Traditionally the three Italian hookers (ACM, Inter & Juve) have had first pick of south America and africa but now it looks like La liga and the Portugese have that right.
Everyone realises(or do they) that RM have used the money cheat for over half a century but few realise that the three italians as above, cottoned on fairly quickly as well and hence their flurry of CL wins.

It is ironic that Platini, the arch anglophobe, only decided that money cheating wa s"not good" when Chelsea and MC did it while the french hypocrite played for Juventus at the height their money cheat time.

Internacional is a team in the Brazilian top flight. Different to Internazionale, from the Italian Serie A. Easy mistake to make
