Odemwingie finds an ally in Harry

Its fair to say Peter Odemwingie is probably short on friends right now, however if he is on the look out for a friendly he should look no further than Harry Redknapp who according to TEAMtalk has been quick to defend the Nigerian that he so desperately wanted to sign on deadline day.

We all know the story by now of Odemwingie's incredibly undisciplined behaviour on deadline day and the days leading up to it and we have all revelled and enjoyed the jovial chants and jokes about his quite ridiculous actions, such as the "Sign Me Maybe" take on Carly Ray Jepson's hit Call Me Maybe which has been doing the rounds on social media sites. Redknapp however has argued that Odemwingie's behaviour was not to dissimilar to what we would have seen from many other players, with him being more foolish and showing a lack of understanding rather than despicably behaved. Infact the QPR boss noted that had the West Brom striker parked himself down a side street rather than in full view on an expectant and revelling media, the storm he caused might not have nearly been as severe.

Odemwingie's behaviour was without question beyond the realms of disrespect and for the reaction he is currently getting he really does only have himself to blame. However Redknapp might have been a point that the current witch hunt might be a little over the top, although you would like to see him explain his views to a scorned Baggies fan.

What the hell as this got to do with Redknapp? Odemwingie was last week a West Brom employee, and still is. I wish he would shut up talking about other clubs players.

      everyone is missing the point
why aren't those at wba getting their **rses kicked?
its obvious that they were playing brinkmanship ("qpr they're an easy touch we'll get a few more bob out of them") and got rumbled
I feel sorry for Odemwingie he was just used (by wba) as a pawn
      just who disrespected who?

Given Harry's eagerness to defend Odearwingie one wonders if he was more complicit in his arrival than is being let on? Just a thought.

Mick O'Baggie, yep, Repcrap surely, potentially was. Why on earth would the player drive down there if he did not know what his new wage was going to be ... Someone would have told PO. I wonder who that might have been?!?
