ACON star Mba beset by offers

If you were to put your house on one man attracting a whole host of transfer interest following the African Cup of Nations, it would be Sunday Mba. And The Metro are reporting that the player has been inundated with offers since his starring role in South Africa.
The interest in Mba has been heightened by the fact he still plays his football in his native Nigeria with the wonderfully named Warri Wolves, his inclusion in that ACON squad in fact drew all kinds of negative reaction from the countries football loving public given it is largely unheard of for native players to make a squad. Manager Stephen Keshi's decision to pick him could not have gone better as the midfielder scored winning goals against Ivory Coast in the quarter finals and Burkina Faso in the final.
These performances have not gone unnoticed throughout Europe and Mba is now in the luxurious position of having to choose between a whole host of clubs in the summer, given the strong competition for his signature, signing Mba is going to be far from easy like Sunday morning.
The ACON used to be a tournament where new talent was unearthed at every corner, however as a result of the globalisation of the African game its rare these days to find such an unearthed gem. With that in mind there is nobody who will want to miss out on Mba.
