      Zlatan interested in Bayern Munich?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind, be it to his manager, his teammates, other players, or indeed, the press. And recently, the big Swede has gone on record to release some very interesting statements for us to mull over as we look towards the summer transfer window. Apparently, the Swedish striker wouldn't mind a move to Germany in the short time he has left in his top-level playing career - and Bayern would be his Bundesliga club of choice, were such a move to materialise.

Under normal circumstances, we would take this statement as a typical 'come and get me' plea, and leave it at that. But Ibra being Ibra, things are not quite so simple. Ibrahimovic has yet to see out his first season at Paris-St-Germain, since moving from AC Milan in the summer, and - more importantly - he has a, er, volatile history with Bayern's soon-to-be manager Pep Guardiola, from their time together at Barcelona.

Ibrahimovic would be in contention with several top strikers in the current Munich side if he were to complete a move, not the least of whom are Mario Gomez and Mario Mandzukic. But he may face even stiffer competition just to get into the squad in the first place. Guardiola has been tipped to be looking around for a striker to add a further cutting edge to what is an already deadly Bayern side, and big names have cropped up. Luis Suarez and Radamel Falcao, to be precise. It will certainly be a test of his worth and ability, not just through the rest of this season to prove he can indeed get to the top, but to show that he can still succeed there as well.

He will certainly think that he's up to the task. The rest of us, however, will have to wait and see.
