Carroll future reliant on Big Sam

They were supposed to be made for each other. The relationship between Sam Allardyce and Andy Carroll since the striker made his loan move to Upton Park has been special, but The Mirror are indicating that should Big Sam earn himself a new deal come the end of the season then Carroll could well be joining him.

Carroll has not exactly had much to sing about since his move to West Ham, with injuries limiting his game time and therefore his goal output. It was thought that under the wing of Big Sam a man whose direct tactics would play to all the big mans strengths, that we might just see Carroll regaining the form that saw Liverpool pay more than silly money for his services. So far has he fallen in such a short time that those days of scoring for fun with Newcastle now almost seem more of a myth than something that actually occurred.

A return to Liverpool looks increasingly unlikely with Carroll's strengths not exactly suited to the current Liverpool hym sheet, and its thought the player is keen to stick with the man who has given him the chance to rebuild his career. However, like the player in question Allardyce himself is not exactly sitting comfortable right now with his contract at Upton Park up in the Summer and fans and board alike seemingly less than convinced by his methods.

Should Sam again be ruthlessly moved on, then Carroll will once be left on the market and uncertain over just whether he will find full voice ever again.
