      Fiorentina to investigate Borini situation

Fabio Borini could be forgiven for thinking that his life in England might just be cursed and Sky Sports News are reporting that Fiorentina could be set to test both his and Liverpool's resolve. The Italian who arrived with glowing references from manager Brendan Rodgers has struggled for games and has suffered two long term injuries, the second of which has robbed him of making any impact at all for the remainder of the season.

In the limited game time we have seen from him he has not exactly looked like the sensation and figure of entertainment that Rodgers had us believe at the start of the season, nevertheless he has hardly had the consistent game time to really feel at home in the Liverpool XI. Further to this coming to England is never easy for a youngster and history shows us that this is particularly true for young Italian footballers, yes he did have prior experience in the Championship but Championship football is nothing compared to the pressure cooker of Liverpool football.

It would be a suprise for Rodgers to part with a player who he invested such funds in, particularly given that we know he has one of the Premier Leagues more stubborn managers when it comes to sticking to his methods. Along with this if the optomistic Rodgers is to be believed then there is plenty of fire in young Borini. meaning that he is far from joining the likes of Corrado Grabi and Bernard Corradi in the list of failed Premier League Italian strikers. So Fiorentina might just have to look elsewhere in their summer transfer search.
