Andrew Driver set for journey to the MLS

Andrew Driver could be set to be the latest player to take the journey away from Hearts, with TEAMtalk reporting that MLS side Houston Dynamo could be his destination. It seems a long time ago that the once highly rated and former England under 21 international was driving gossip columns crazy with rumours of his potential departure from the Edinburgh club, however several injury problems have seen Driver's value drop dramatically.
However, having now coasted through the last 12 months injury free, Driver is now starting to attract interest again. With Hearts seemingly never ending financial mess showing no signs of let up, his departure looks inevitable. Driver has clocked up over 150 appearances for Hearts, showing firm loyalty to the club despite interest from several English clubs and Dutch side FC Twente. However, it looks like his career with the Scottish club could be near write-off, particularly given that his relationship with manager Paulo Sergio has hardly been the most fruitful.
Unfortunately for Hearts it seems they will lose yet another key player as their financial situation deepens and what is worse is that the deal for Driver will be a lot less than the offers they turning down just a few years ago. For Driver it might not have been the route he was predicted to take but his future might just lie all those miles away across the pond.
