Napoli look to Damiao as potential Cavani replacement

Leandro Damiao has been on the end of seemingly endless transfer speculation claiming what would seem to be an inevitable move to Tottenham Hotspur. However, after two years, a new contender seems to have entered the fray. And a contender with an excellent chance, at that.
Napoli's interest in the Brazil and Internacional striker would be almost entirely dependent on the sale of the in-form Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan has been attracting interest from a plethora of top clubs, and would almost certainly go for a massive sum. With the cash from the sale of Cavani, Napoli would have both the resource and the requirement for a new number 9. Enter Damiao.
The question is, would Damiao himself fancy a move to Italy? His recent rejection of a move to Tottenham in January was apparently not due to the bidding club, but more to do with his loyalty to his current one. However, Napoli may well have a bit more cash to throw at this problem, which would likely change a few minds higher up in the club. Because that's what you do in football. Got a problem? Throw money at it. Problem solved. Oh wait, I forgot about QPR. I guess they're living proof that money doesn't solve everything.
