Michu concentrating on success for Swansea

After scoring a brace against QPR at the weekend, Michu continues to back up his status as one of the buys of the season.
The Spanish striker, who has found the net 18 times in all competitions so far this campaign, was signed by Swansea manager Michael Laudrup from Rayo Vallecano for a fee of just £2 million. Initially joining the club as midfielder, Michu was handed the number nine shirt and has played in a more forward role for the Welsh side.
His 15 strikes in the Premier League put him behind only Robin van Persie and Luis Suarez on the list of top scorers. So good have the former 26-year-old’s performances been that he managed to oust Danny Graham from the side, who had been a virtual ever-present for the Swans last season. With Swansea usually operating with only one striker, Graham was often unable to get a look-in at the Liberty Stadium ahead of the former Celta Vigo man and eventually left for Sunderland during the January transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, Michu is completely focused on Swansea at this moment in time, despite undoubted interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Now with even less competition for a starting place, Michu is bound to make plenty more headlines before the end of the season. With the chance to be Swansea’s hero in their Capital One Cup final against Bradford City, he could also help the side secure an impressive top-half finish in the Premier League.
As Michu shines brightly time and time again, will the Swans be able to keep hold of him come the summer?
