Villa set to offload Hutton and Warnock

Okay, so you know how everyone seems to agree that Aston Villa could really use some experience in their side, especially at the back? Right. Well it may come as something of a surprise to you that Paul Lambert is preparing to let two rather experienced players leave on loan, did I mention they were defenders? Shocking!
Of course when you hear that the defenders in question are actually Alan Hutton and Stephen Warnock maybe the move becomes a little clearer.
Both players were made to train with the youth team when Lambert took over in the summer and were then sent out on loan to Nottingham Forrest and Bolton respectively. They have now returned to the Midlands -presumably in an open topped bus surrounding by crowds of adoring fans - and yet Lambert is already about to send our brave heroes to the furthest corners of the earth. Hutton to Mallorca and Warnock to West Ham says the Daily Mirror.
In all seriousness Paul Lambert’s man management skills seem to have really let him down this season. Hutton and Warnock may not be world beater, but they are still useful players who could have really helped out Villa’s struggling kids as they languish near the foot of the table.
It isn’t just this defensive duo that Lambert has frozen out, Darren Bent has been struggling to even make the bench during a difficult spell which has surely driven his market value right down if nothing else. Even if Lambert didn’t see the England international fitting into his long term plans he could have at least tried to get the most out of a talented player who will now surely be allowed to leave for considerably less than he is worth.
