QPR in for relegation man Scott Dann

Ex-Tottenham boss 'Arry Redknapp has been tipped as the man to turn Rangers' torrid season around - a season that sees them sit rock bottom of the Barclays Premier League table. No doubt QPR fans' first thought at having acquired such an accomplished manager was that if anyone could help the worst conglomerate of good talent avoid what would be a ridiculously expensive relegation, it was good old 'Arry.

However, considering the nature of his latest centre-half target, one would be forgiven for questioning Redknapp's intentions. Could bringing in Scott Dann (according to the Daily Mirror), who has been brought in to shore up the leaky defences of relegation-threatened teams for two consecutive seasons  really be the answer for a bottom-of-the-league side who have let in 37 goals this season? Well let's consider Dann's recent success... No. Well if you try and forget about him being relegated with Birmingham in the 2010/11 season... and of course being relegated again with Blackburn in the 2011/12 season... then perhaps you could see it as a good idea. Maybe? No.

If the signing does materialise, at least we can give our 'Arry credit for one thing. He'll have brought in a man highly experienced in the art of relegation, who may well need to go around with a box of tissues, comforting his very expensive teammates come season's end. Good old 'Arry. He knew what he was doing after all.
