Bluebirds look at former Canary

According to Sky Sports, highflying Cardiff City are considering recruiting free agent Simon Lappin as they continue their quest to reach the promised land of the Premier League.
The former Scotland under-21 international was released by Norwich City earlier this week, having spent the previous month on loan with the Bluebirds.
Cardiff manager Malky Mackay talked positively about Lappin’s recent spell with the Welsh club and described him as “a smashing professional when he came here, a good boy and a good personality to have around."
After forcing himself into the starting lineup at St Mirren in 2002, Lappin featured regularly for the Buddies during the next four-and-a-half seasons before he was snapped up by Norwich. The midfielder experienced it all during his time at Carrow Road, joining the Canaries on their descent to League One, as well as playing a part in their incredible rise back to the top.
Unfortunately for Lappin, injuries saw him fall behind other players in the pecking order at Norwich, meaning that he only managed to play four times in the Premier League.
With a move to Cardiff possibly on the cards, perhaps he can help earn himself another shot at the big time.
