Can Kris Boyd find a club?

Having just been released from Portland Timbers, Kris Boyd is looking to resurrect his career back in the UK.

According to Sky Sports, the Scottish striker has been training with former club Rangers following a poor run of form which saw him depart the MLS.

Boyd enjoyed three double-winning campaigns during his time at Rangers, where he collected two SPL titles, two Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups.  With Boyd receiving the award in both the preceding two seasons and the following two seasons, Scott McDonald’s impressive tally for champions Celtic in 2007/08 ultimately stood between him being named the Scottish Premier League’s top scorer five years running.

Boyd has not experienced such personal success since he left his homeland apart from a successful loan spell at Nottingham Forest during the remaining few months of the 2010/11 season.  He scored six goals in 10 league games under Billy Davies, before the Scottish manager was sacked and replaced by Steve McClaren.  With the former England boss unwilling to sign the striker permanently, Boyd moved to Turkey to join Eskisehirspor.  He played less than 90 minutes of league football for the club, leaving after less than six months amidst claims he had never been paid.

Now 29 years of age and returning from an unsuccessful stint in America, who will give Boyd a chance to find the net once again?
