“A relegation battle this season, is not an option” says Beard

The Chief Executive behind the Premiership’s busiest team in the transfer window has said that a relegation battle again this season will not be acceptable.
These are the words of Philip Beard from QPR. He along with Tony Fernandes has helped Mark Hughes buy enough players to field an entire new team as they bid to become a club capable of maintaining in the Premier league season after season.
Tony Fernandes has certainly put his cheque book to good use this summer and that’s without booking his summer holiday. QPR have bought in many players, some of which are proven premiership players and others who are well known internationals coming in from Europe.
With the team installed in at QPR it is clear the club is going with the intention of not fearing anyone in the league. This could be interesting especially when Rangers play the likes of Chelsea and the Manchester teams, expect goals gallore and plenty of attacking football.
There is one thing for sure Mark Hughes knows he needs to get it right and get the club off to the best possible start if he is going to meet the expectations of Beard and the rest of the QPR club management.
Philip Beard also believes that buying two good goalkeepers in Robert Green and Julio Cesar is a wise move as then the club can boast that they have strength in depth in certain positions within the squad.
On paper looking at QPR’s squad you would think that Rangers don’t need to worry about relegation. However in football surprises do happen. Therefore Hughes has to work hard in training to ensure that his new squad gel together and play as a team to ensure years of stability for the club.
