Could Meireles be about to move on again?

One would think that the Meireles family would just want to settle down by now. After moving from Portugal to Liverpool (which is a traumatic enough experience, particularly in the Roy Hodgson era), to Chelsea under the car crash that was Andre Villas Boas’ regime, the Portuguese international may find himself on the move for the third summer running.

The Metro reports that the 29 year old is in talks with Turkish side Fenerbahce, who’s transfer window remains open. The paper reports that a “pre-agreement” has been signed between the two clubs, who only need to decide on an exact fee for the player to make the move to the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium, or as the Fener fans affectionately call it: hell.

Certainly, Meireles’ shall we say, curious choice of hairstyles have had a demonic air to them and that possibly more so than his just over average ability on the pitch should endear him to the Turkish fans.
