Earnshaw you want to go to Israel?

Maccabi Tel Aviv have today secured the signing of former Championship goal scorer and Premier League struggler Robert Earnshaw on a season long loan from Cardiff City.

Earnshaw, who had spells in the top flight with West Brom and Derby County, can now be seen hitting the back of the net in another league that is not the English Premier League.

Looking back Earnshaw was the perfect striker for Derby County during their record breaking stint in the Premier League during the 2007-08 campaign.

His one goal in twenty two Premier League matches is testament to the hard work and dedication Derby County put in during that season as they looked to become the league's biggest loser. Unfortunately, unlike the popular calorie counting TV programme, the tag of “biggest loser” will not be shouted over the top of too many rooftops in Derby. Or for that matter, Israel.
