      That doesn’t scare me!

Lionel Messi was subject to a recent taunt when Argentina travelled to Peru in their latest World Cup qualifier. As Messi left the Argentina team bus the Peru fans, who had gathered outside started chanting “Ronaldo, Ronaldo, Ronaldo”

The recent chants may have put a smile on the sulking Portuguese’s face. Ronaldo has admitted feeling miserable and sad but has insisted that he is still dedicated and committed to winning trophies at Real Madrid.

Shouting the name of Messi’s rival didn’t seem to faze him, as he entered the stadium with the gleam on his face as if he was a 10 year old playing football in the local park. When abuse or jibes are shouted at someone of Messi’s calibre it rarely affects him, as I am sure he has heard it all before.

Messi has started to find some sort of form for his national side as he has found the net 10 times in his last 7 appearances. The little Argentinean may be on his way to proving that he can be as successful and dangerous for Argentina as he is for Barcelona season after season.

As for on the pitch matters Argentina seem to have hit a stumbling block as they were held to a 1-1  draw. The hosts took the lead before after earlier missing a penalty. However Gonzalo Higuain levelled up for the away team in the second half. However the La Albiceleste’s should easily qualify for Brazil 2014.
