City try to buy the future Champions League winners?

Having appointed Ferran Soriano, who spent five years at Barcelona between 2003 and 2008, as their new chief executive, Manchester City are already making contingency plans if they fail to win the Champions League within the next two seasons: they're simply going to buy the competition's next generation of stars. talkSPORT have reported that City are eyeing up three young whippets from Barcelona's famous La Masia academy - Christian Tello, Sergi Roberto and Gerard Deulofeu.

With all three currently either in or on the fringes of the first team, it may be tough to whisk them away from the pleasures of Barcelona and Camp Nou. After all, who would really leave Spain to a league where people constantly ask if they could "hack it on a wet Tuesday night in Stoke?"
