    QPR hit the summer sales

There has been a frenzy of signings that have entered Loftus Road this summer as Mark Hughes bids to make QPR a mid table team rather than a team that is a candidate for the drop.

QPR have splashed their cash throughout Europe over this summer in a quest to be a team pushing for Europe rather than nervously hovering above the relegation throughout the season.

After QPR’s disastrous start it was obvious Tony Fernandes and co needed to dig deep into their pockets to look to turn their fortunes around. Rangers have certainly dug deep, big style!! Recent additions of Esteban Granero and Stephane Mbia have arrived at Loftus Road along with Robert Green, Ryan Nelsen, Jose Bosingwa, Park Ji-Sung, Junior Hoilett, Andrew Johnson and Fabio Da Silva. Rangers have practically bought a new team!

All of these editions individually have potential to help a club progress, but the concern for Mark Hughes is that he needs to ensure they can play as a unit. If he can achieve this then he may have a stroll in the park season. If he doesn’t then it could all go wrong and he could become a candidate for being the first manager to be sacked in the Premiership, not a title managers want pencilled on their C.V.

Hughes hasn’t really targeted a particular area he has just looked to bring in a mixture of Premiership proven players and experience from Europe. Could this be a recipe for success in the Premiership? Only time will tell. There is one thing for sure with all these signings the owners and fans will expect instant results, no pressure then Mr Hughes and the rest of the QPR squad.
