Reserves? What Reserves?

When most teams suffer a long-term injury, they look to squad players to fill the gap for however long is necessary. Apparently the same doesn’t go for moneybags Man City.
Evidence of this comes in the form of a £30 million pound bid made by City for Chelsea’s Sideshow Bob impersonator and part time centre back, David Luiz.
This outlandish bid comes in the wake of an ankle injury suffered by Micah Richards at the Olympics, hardly worth it considering Team GB’s less than impressive performance.
Although Chelsea swiftly rejected the bid, it just goes to show that if City have it their way a whole host of first class players will be littering their bench.
