Dzagoev? Just call him Alan!

Having had the whole summer to make changes to and improve his Tottenham squad, Andre Villas Boas will continue his late transfer window splurge by swooping for a man with possibly the most English sounding first name in Russia.
The Daily Mirror reports that Alan Dzagoev, one of Russia’s stars in their dismal Euro 2012 campaign, will be pursued by AVB before the transfer window closes on Friday as he seemingly looks to destroy every last memory of Harry Redknapp that exists at White Hart Lane.
If Dzegoev does indeed join Spurs, it’ll be interesting to see just how many commentators and pundits attempt at correctly pronouncing his name. One can only imagine how terrified Paul Merson is at the prospect.
