Richardson pines for home; clubs perk up

Kieran Richardson is homesick says the Sun and so wants to leave the wonderful offerings available in the North East and return to where he grew up according to The Sun today.
Incidentally, this is not in the news pages exploring the mental situation of a famous person in a measured, reasoned way, but it's in the sports rumours pages so more liberties are taken.
Richardson being homesick for London would be rather strange seeing as he left London in 2001 to join Manchester United when he was just 16 so why it's taken so long for the situation to come on is anybody's guess.
Anyway, I'm no doctor nor a close confidant of Richardson so let us take this at face value.
The rumour reports that the midfielder and occasional left back has told his Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill he wants to leave which has sprung the interest of Reading (who have been linked with him for the last five years or so), QPR (inevitably) and Fulham (OK, a bit of originality).
