      The Honduran revolution

Usually, when a foreign manager takes charge at a club, he brings in a lot of players of his own nationality prompting tabloid stories depicting the “Rafa-revolution” or the “Rodgers revolution”. Strange how it seems to be usually Liverpool involved but they do change their manager a lot.

Regardless, the situation occurs often enough, perhaps for reasons of creating a dressing room united with the manager on a linguistic level or those are the players he knows.

Anyway, a similar thing has occurred in the last few years at Wigan Athletic although not to do with any one manager it would seem.

In recent years, Wilson Palacios and Maynor Figueroa have passed through the doors at the DW and why this hardly represents a pattern, a rumour in the Sun today could make it more of a well-trod road.

The paper reports that Roberto Martinez is eyeing up a deal for Sporting Kansas City's Honduran midfielder Roger Espinoza.

The midfielder is out of contract at the end of the current MLS campaign but Martinez wants to snap him up before the end of the European transfer window.

      Viva La Revolución.
