      Exit Open At Derby

Derby County boss Nigel Clough is expecting there to be players leaving Pride Park in the coming weeks.

At the end of last season Clough transfer listed five members of his squad; Chris Maguire, Lee Croft, Miles Addison, Steve Davies and James Bailey.

Chris Maguire has already swapped Derby County for freshly promoted Sheffield Wednesday and now Clough is anticipating the other four players not to be far behind.

Winger Lee Croft has been linked with a move to the SPL with St Johnstone the likely destination. Croft’s move north of the border is looking most likely to be a loan deal.

Miles Addison has been tipped to return to Bournemouth, the club he spent the latter half of last season on loan. The Cherries are not certain to land the defensive man as there is also interest from Championship clubs, according to Nigel Clough.

Steve Davies is being tracked by rival Championship clubs and James Bailey is wanted by Barnsley as an apparent replacement for Jacob Butterfield.

“We would expect something to happen with all four in the next few weeks.”

Clough told the Derby Evening Telegraph “I think with Miles we are close to getting something done with Bournemouth, hopefully this week, and Lee Croft will be going on loan somewhere, maybe initially until January.”

“Those two things are pretty close. We have had one or two calls about James Bailey but nothing firm at the moment, and that’s the same with Steve Davies.”

“One or two Championship clubs have asked to be kept informed about him.”
