Spurs to confirm AVB

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to announce the appointment of Andre Villas-Boas today.

Spurs have been on the look-out for a new manager following the sacking of Harry Redknapp last month.

The likes of Laurent Blanc, David Moyes and Roberto Martinez had all been linked with the managerial hot-seat.

However, Villas-Boas, who was sacked by Chelsea in March, is expected to succeed Redknapp at White Hart Lane.

Sources suggest the 34-year-old jetted into London on Tuesday to conclude the deal, with a press conference to confirm his appointment next week.
