Cardiff Closing On Kim


Cardiff City hope to complete the signing of Kim Bo-Kyung ‘within the next few days.’
The Bluebirds have beaten two league champions, SPL title holders Celtic and Bundesliga winners Borussia Dortmund, in the race for the South Korean international.
Kim will pull on the new red colours of Cardiff City next season all being well with the proposed £2 million move from Japanese side Cerezo Osaka.
Cardiff boss Malky Mackay is looking forward to sealing the deal, “Everything went well perfect with the agent”, Mackay told Wales Online.
“I’m pretty confident it will go through, there are just one or two things to sort out at the Japanese end.”
Bo-Kyung has made 14 appearances for South Korea ad is currently preparing to compete for his nation in the London Olympic Games.
The chief executive of Cardiff, Alan Whiteley, added “We’re hopeful we’ll be able to close that deal within the next few days.”
“We think we’ve made good progress in the negotiations. Like all these things you always hesitate to say too much until the ink is on the paper.”
“Obviously there are work permit issues as well but I think we’ve made pretty good progress this week.”
