Cisse On Trial

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has begun his preparations for the Championship season by taking Bristol City’s Kalifa Cisse on trial. Cisse’s contract at Ashton Gate has come to an end and the midfielder is looking for new surroundings in which to continue his career.
As of yet no clubs have offered Cisse a permanent deal but he hopes he is able to impress Owen Coyle during a pre-season tour of Scotland with Wanderers.
Bristol City boss Derek McInnes is resigned to losing Cisse this summer but has admitted he would welcome the Mali international back if an offer fails to materialise elsewhere.
McInnes told Bristol City’s official website, “I had a call from Owen Coyle at the weekend to say they’d be taking a look at him and that was backed up by communication from his agent.”
“The door isn’t closed to him here at Bristol City but it’s looking increasingly likely we won’t be working with him next season.”
Cisse made 61 appearances and scored 2 goals for Bristol City following his move from Reading in 2010.
