Satisfaction and disappointment for Liverpool

You have to take the rough with the smooth when it comes to dealing in the transfer market, for every good deal a club pulls off through persistence and hard work in the negotiating office, you can be guaranteed that they will see nothing but frustration from another potential deal.
It's kind of like an innocent young romance where the boy, with a degree of trepidation, tries to please the girl who it turns out is just not interested in his advances.
Feeling that kind of rejection today are Liverpool fans after any lingering links with Real Madrid front-man Jose Callejon coming to Anfield have been trampled on and thrown in the metaphorical dustbin as agent Manuel Garcia Quillon told the colourfully-named Fichajes Y Cracks, reported through Sky, that Madrid do not want to sell the 25 year old attacker.
It had emerged that new Anfield manager was preparing a £7 million bid for the striker who appeared 37 times for Madrid last season, but any dream of that coming to fruition will now be cast to one side as Quillon said Callejon is "non-transferable".
Red supporters will however, find a degree of comfort in the fact that another agent, this time Alberto Aquilani's man Franco Zavaglia, brings better news in that the Italian midfielder will remain on Merseyside despite links with a permanent move to AC Milan.
Zavaglia told CalcioMercato.net that the 28 year old, still not given a sufficient chance to prove himself in the red of Liverpool, will put his short-lived spell on loan at Milan behind him and focus on the brand new Brendan Rodgers era at Anfield.
