Lovenkrands wants to stay in England.

With England being a centre for optimism and partying upon the Queen's Jubilee plus the Olympics all capturing the nation's hearts, who would want to leave a place that seldom has had such good weather and overall happiness?

Not Peter Lovenkrands anyway who says he would like to remain in England despite Newcastle confirming he will be on his way out of St James' Park this summer when his contract expires.

The Danish striker told the Danish webite Sporten.Dk that he is reluctant to leave the home of the Queen and he could be in luck as he claimed that there are other Premier League clubs interested in his services.

The 32 year old has been at Newcastlefor three years and although he enjoyed a great start to life in the north-east, his aging limbs have seen him drop to the bench as Alan Pardew has preferred the young whipper-snappers of Papiss Cisse and Demba Ba ilk.

Lovenkrands is one of eleven players heading for a lenghty departure queue at the Sports Direct Arena and although the ex-Rangers and Schalke star told Sporten.Dkthat a return to his native Denmark could also be a possibility, his goal is to remain in good'ol blighty.

A knee injury also hampered Lovenkrand's playing time this season as he only made 12 appearances for the Magpies, scoring three goals, but he leaves with immense gratitude for the job he did on Tyneside as his 22 goals in a three and a half year spell helped Newcastle get back into the Premier League.
