    McNally remains resolute.

As a club who have suddenly just lost a very successful manager in Paul Lambert who took the club into the Premier League from League One in just 3 years and consolidated them in the top division, Norwich find themselves in an unwanted position as they try to re-group for life post-Paul Lambert ahead of the next campaign.

Also throw into the mix the situation of 15 goal top-scorer Grant Holt being perfectly clear in his desire to move away from Carrow Road and it doesn't seem to be too rosy down in the yellow side of East Anglia.

Chief Executive David McNally is an optimist though and is obviously of the preference to look at things with a degree of pleasantry as he told local paper The Pink'Un that Lambert's departure was "perhaps inevitable" and that Grant Holt, as much as the player seemingly wants on the next bus out of Norwich, is not for sale.

The Sun had reported on Saturday that the Canaries faced mutiny in the dressing room in the wake of Lambert's surprise exit for Aston Villa, but McNally obviously wasn't a fan as he described the article as "ridiculous".

McNally was firm in his belief that the players at Carrow Road were together and that the coffers remain in good shape financially so they do not particularly have to sell, anything, including the services of want-away Holt who the Chief Executive referred to as irreplaceable in his firm set of words with the Pink'Un.

Preaching more calm-faced unity than a Christian at a natural disaster, McNally wished Lambert the best of luck in his new surroundings of Villa Park whilst also issuing a battle cry to the crisis by urging "bring it on", he said.
