      AC target Reds' ace

The one remaining Spaniard bought in as part of the Rafa-lution at Anfield is the target of a club in Serie A according to one paper today.

With the likes of Xabi Alonso, Fernando Morientes, Josemi, Antonio Nunez, Fernando Torres and countless others all coming and going at Liverpool, Pepe Reina remains the sole Spanish player bought in by Rafa Benitez during his six year stint at the club.

But the Daily Mail reports today that AC Milan have targeted the Liverpool keeper as part of their rebuilding process in the wake of the loss of their Serie A title to Juventus last season.

The paper reports that AC boss Massimilano Allegri was unimpressed with current no.1 Christian Abbiati’s performances last season and is keen to replace the 35-year-old despite his cult hero status among fans at the San Siro.

Reina is thought to be well settled on Merseyside with his family but with Liverpool set to undergo another summer of transition, the ex-Barcelona and Villarreal keeper may seek pastures new.

The 29-year-old (yup, 29!) is currently on international duty with Spain and he has yet to meet up with new Anfield gaffer Brendan Rodgers.
