Nani being kept waiting by United

Footballers, you'd guess, like to be in the know. They like to be in control of their own future, rather than waiting on a club.

Well, Nani appears to be waiting on a club; one of the biggest clubs in the world, which has led him to ponder his next move.

The 25 year old joined Manchester United in 2007 and has already won pretty much everything there is to win, indeed the only major trophy he is yet to get his hands on is the FA Cup.

The winger, though, is uncertain about where he will be playing his football next season according to Team Talk, in an interview with Portuguese TV channel RTP, he said: 'I am really happy but I don't know about my future. Now I will study opportunities.

'Football is not only about England or Spain. It is possible to enjoy success in other countries.

'My agent is waiting on news about United. We have presented a counter-offer and now we are waiting on an offer from the club.'

Over the last 5 years, Nani has made 195 appearances in a United shirt and has scored 36 goals.
