    Possible Rodriguez exit worries Grant

Lee Grant, the Burnley goalkeeper, expects the Turf Moor club to handle a lot of calls regarding the plans of hotshot striker, Jay Rodriguez according to Sky Sports.

21 goals in 42 appearances last term saw the 22 year old rise to prominence and earn a place in the Championship's PFA team of the year.

The Clarets are understood to have rejected offers from North East duo Newcastle and Sunderland in the past, and with only a year left on the former England Under 21 internationals contract, the offers are unlikely to stop there.

Premier League outfits including Norwich City and, newly promoted, Reading are said to be circling as well as the Scottish Champions, Celtic.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Grant revealed just how far he feels his team mate can go: 'It has been well documented how well Jay has done this season and for a club like Burnley it will be very difficult to keep hold of him.

'The calibre of clubs that will be looking at him are from the Premier League and if they come knocking with huge financial sums it will hard for the club to say no I'd imagine.'

Should Rodriguez head for the exit door, though, Grant believes that the future is bright for Eddie Howe's men, citing Danny Ings as a key prospect: 'Danny Ings has come through and scored a good few, showing a lot of promise as a 19-year-old player.'

Nothings certain, but there could be a busy summer in store in Lancashire.
