      Bendtner needs Euro thinking time

Non-car crasher, man in the plastic mask and self proclaimed best striker in the world Nicklas Bendtner has decided to wait until after Euro 2012 to settle his future.

The Danish striker is on-loan from Arsenal at Sunderland for the season and has scored seven times in 25 games as well as contributing five assists for the Black Cats as their form has improved since the appointment of Martin O’Neill.

He could leave the Gunners for as little as £4million in the summer, reports the Sun, but his £60,000 a week wage demands could prove a stumbling block in securing a permanent move to the North East.

As could the fact that he admits he misses the London life which is pretty far removed from the lifestyle in the North East, countless footballer’s recollections has taught us.

The 24 year-old said; “I really like playing for Sunderland but we’ve got the Euros in the summer and after that we’ll see where we are. It’s a total culture change living up here. I don’t really go out. It wasn’t the same in London. All my friends are back there as well.”

In other Arsenal-related striker news, the Gunners could make a swoop for Fulham striker Clint Dempsey who has racked up 19 goals this year, somewhat on the quiet, with Arsene Wenger thought to be contemplating a £10million bid for the American international, according to the Daily Express.
