      Balotelli's possible "mildly surprising switch"

Tabloid’s favourite Mario Balotelli could have editors howling in rage at the loss of potentially hundreds of newspaper column inches devoted to his various “he’s mad he is” antics if a story in the Daily Mail today is to be believed.

In what would be called a “sensational shock move” in some quarters of the press, but what we shall deem a “mildly surprising switch”, Balotelli has been linked with a return to Inter Milan in the summer.

The San Siro club are keen on the striker and with Balotelli seemingly getting into arguments with a new Manchester City teammate every day that ends in a ‘y’, he could well be looking to end his stint at the Etihad after only a season at the club.

According to the Daily Mail, Balotelli has got wind of the potential move and admits that the knowledge of it has been a heavy burden for him to bear.

However, he may well have to bear it for a good while yet as Inter Milan are insisting that they are not thinking about any possible move for the striker until the end of the season.

Head of technical staff at Inter (and ex-Middlesbrough striker and kinda scary-looking dude) Marco Branca said at a press conference unveiling new signing and a probably rather annoyed at being upstaged Fredy Guarin; “I don't want to be rude and I will respond briefly. Balotelli is not a topical interest issue. Today, we talk about Guarin and about the pleasure to have him among us. As for Mario, there will be time to speak about in one or two months.”

Which should give tabloid editors up and down the country time to wring out a a few more stories about the striker just yet as, you know, it is always him.
