Warnock asking for trouble with Diouf

In true Neil Warnock fashion, the battle-hardened Yorkshire-man isn’t looking for the quiet life as he rebuilds his Leeds squad, with reports emerging he has held talks with notorious bad-boy El Hadji Diouf.
The Daily Mail had reported that, according to Sky Sports, Warnock’s Leeds had held talks with the representatives of Diouf, who will be a free agent in the summer as Doncaster decides his misdemeanours aren’t worth the hassle.
The Senegalese forward, with a list of wrong-doings longer than a Charles Dickens’ novel, had been a heavily criticised product of the Willy Mackay-guided transfer policy at Doncaster, which could not help them avoid the drop to League One.
With Diouf out of contract at the end of the season, the Mail believe his quest for a new deal has been hampered by continuous idiocy off the field, where he has recently been involved, and subsequently arrested, in a violent disorder in Manchester.
Sky Sports say Warnock is expected to make wholesale changes to his Leeds squad, who are waiting for their season to end in the ignominy of thirteenth position and Warnock possibly sees the once-African player of year could be a vital figure to progress the club.
With a history of dealing with some turbulent characters (Joey Barton, Clint Hill and Michael Brown to name but a few in a long managerial career), Warnock is seemingly willing to bring Diouf in to Elland Road, regardless of his past.
The 31 year old forward, who has ventured every patch of green in the UK in his twelve year career-span, spending time at Liverpool, Rangers, Sunderland, Bolton and Blackburn, could be tempted to stay in Yorkshire and Leeds’ rebuilding process may seem an attractive, but surprising, offer, considering he attracts controversy like a strong magnet.
