Ledesma possibly set for yet another club

Despite Middlesbrough’s play-off hopes still faintly shining, the club already looks as if it is planning on its summer transfer targets if this Sky Sports story is to be believed.

The website reports that the Teeside club are keeping tabs on the Walsall striker and exotic journeyman Emmanuel Ledesma who is in his second spell at the Saddlers.

Ledesma, who has played for Genoa, QPR, Salernitana, Novara, Crotone, Walsall and Defensa y Justicia in his mere four year career as a professional footballer has bounced around Europe without stopping to get to know a place very often. The most number of appearances he has made for a club in one stint is 17 for QPR back in 2008/09.

After failing to impress Brighton on trial, he joined Walsall in 2011 for ten games, helping them to avoid relegation, before heading back to his first club Defensa before rejoining the Midlands outfit in March, notching up an impressive four goals in seven appearances so far this season.

Sky Sports reports that a host of clubs are tracking the 23-year-old Argentine who is only contracted to Walsall until the end of the season, with Middlesbrough at the head of the queue.
