      Goodbye to the Emirates Deadwood

It is the time that Arsenal fans have been waiting for, time to get read of the dead wood o’clock. Que cheering and elation.

The Mail reports that Arsene Wenger wants a clear out of his fringe players at the Emirates to fund moves for new players and to make room on the wage bill to reward the top players in the first team, like the flying Dutchman upfront.

Andrey Arshavin, on loan at Zenit wil leave along with Denilson, Carlos Vela, Sebastien Squillaci, Manuel Almunia and Nicklas Bendtner will all leave to leave a hefty chunk available in the wage bill.

Wenger wants to sign new players but re signing Van Persie has to be the biggest goal of the summer and with Champions League football and potential freshening up of the squad, why wouldn’t he stay?

A new contract could be on the cards for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after impressing in his debut season for the Gunners.

Arsenal would like Mario Gotze but he signed a new contract yesterday but Rennes midfielder Yann M’vila is a realistic target. With a fresh, hungry squad, next season could be exciting for the Emirates faithful.
