      Destination Dortmund for Dzeko

Another day and another club is linked with taking on the services of Manchester City’s Bosnian international striker, Edin Dzeko.

This time it is Borussia Dortmund according to The Sun and the striker could well be the final piece to the jigsaw at Dortmund as an out and out goal scorer is something that the men in yellow do not have.

Mario Gotze has signed a new contract at the club and Shinji Kagawa is another exciting midfield talent. They have already beaten Bayern Munich to the signing of Marco Reus from Borussia Monchengladbach and the leaders of the Bundesliga want to make a better fist of Champions League football next season.

They also posses two young and talented centre backs who have a formidable partnership across the Dortmund backline. Matts Hummels and Neven Subotic have been brilliant and for Hummels especially, interest will be rife after the European Championships this summer.

So, the only thing missing is Dzeko who has proven in Germany that he can score week in, week out. Lucas Barrios could be on his way out this summer after an inconsistent few seasons.

The current to scorer at the Westfallen Stadion is Robert Lewandowski and City could be interested in a swap deal but Irfan Redzepagic, Dzeko’s agent had said: “He is not thinking about leaving.”
