      Double Top Suarez

Fresh from another defeat against Wigan Athletic on Saturday afternoon, Liverpool have been linked with Suarez, this time Matias of Anderlecht.

Could Liverpool be about to spend another extortionate amount of money on another striker and combine the Argentinian Suarez with the Uruguayan one, now that’s a thought.

Damien Comolli, the Liverpool technical director has watched Suarez this season and they are said to be using the old cliché of ‘monitoring his progress.”

Suarez has filled the void left by the Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku this season, although you wouldn’t have seen too much of him he is a talent, just like the Argentinian.

Lukaku cost Chelsea £18 million in the summer and the Anderlecht manager, Herman van Holsbeeck believes that Suarez is better than him and they would want more money for him, this obviously shocked Comolli.

He said: “Do I think Suarez is worth more than Lukaku? Well, technically he is a better player.”

The Liverpool squad does need some re vamping, as it is very unlikely that Kenny Dalglish will be given the boot and Suarez could fit the bill. Comolli brokered the deal for the original Luis Suarez who has been a big hit, despite his recent problems.

Clubs around Europe will know Liverpool have more money to spend as the Dalglish era has already undergone a £115 million face lift, which clearly hasn’t worked so if they want Matias Suarez, who West Brom also want then they will have to pay top dollar. Now is not the time to srimp and scrape for King Kenny and Comolli.
