Lampard & Ferdinand to China?

Envious glances from the Far East have been thrown at West London and Manchester recently with England pairing Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand said to be targets for Guizhou Renhe.

Several Chinese clubs are thought to be looking to spend heavily and Nicolas Anelka’s January move to Shanghai Shenhua could indicate this.

Guizhou’s chairman Wang Guolin is quoted by The Sun as saying: ‘I want the best team in China and we are prepared to invest a lot of money to bring Ferdinand and Lampard to us.’

Ferdinand’s agent Pini Zahivi said ‘When the Chinese want to achieve something they do it’.

He concluded that ‘Football has become a big business for them now and they want to bring in the best players and managers’.

Could the renowned England internationals be heading East in big money moves this summer?
