Sterling effort needed to keep Raheem at Anfield

The Daily Mail report teenage wing sensation Raheem Sterling is becoming unsettled at  Liverpool.

The boy wonder, who the under pressure Merseysiders payed £500,000 to QPR for in 2010 at the age of 15, has failed to settle on Merseyside, and is growing increasingly frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities despite alleged assurances from the club.

You tube videos of Sterling's wing wizardry and skill surfaced shortly after his move to the 5 times European Cup and Champions League winners. This led to Sterling being catapulted into the nations conscience before ever pulling on a pair of first team boots.

Sterling's frustration appears to stem from Liverpool's struggle in the premier league this season and the fact he hasn't been given opportunities despite that, a decision which has led to the speculation on his future.

The news has alerted Tottenham Boss Harry Redknapp, who is preparing to put an offer together to tempt Sterling, 17, back to London should Redknapp reject the England post.

Sterling will feature in Wednesday's NextGen Series semi final against Ajax and sportsmail report that a senior Spurs scout will be in attendance.

Any attempts at luring the talented winger away from Anfield would no doubt be met with derision from Kop legend Kenny Dalglish, however it may force his hand in giving more first team chances to the England under 18 star.
