      Wednesday 'stocking up'

Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson has taken the phrase of 'stocking up for the promotion charge' a bit too litteraly.

The League One boss has snapped up Spurs hot prospect John BoSTOCK on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The former Premier League club find themselves in the midst of a Yorkshire based triple threat match between themselves, Sheffield United and Huddersfield in the race for 2nd place in the third tier with Charlton looking certainties for the league crown.

Bostock was viewed as a major star of the future back in 2008 when Spurs agreed a deal to obtain him from Crystal Palace.

Now 20 years of age, the attacker hasn't hit the ground running as expected. Nevertheless, he is still something of a coup at that level, and his 'stock' may rise, along with Wednesday's chances of earning elevation to The Championship as soon as he steps foot on the Hillsborough turf.
